- Rare and interesting example
The Porsche 944 was built from 1982 to 1991 and was built on the same platform as the 924. It was intended to last into the 1990's but major revisions planned for a 944 S3 model were eventually rolled into the 968 instead which replaced the 944. The 944 was a successful model and was available as both a coupé and cabriolet in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. In mid 1985, the Porsche 944 underwent significant changes. The post 1985 cars, turbos and S variants are considered more desirable than the earlier cars, having improved interiors, suspensions and engines, together with a limited slip differential and larger brakes.
Originally registered on 1st August 1988 this rare Porsche 944 turbo S is finished in the delightful colour combination of Slate Grey with black leather interior. A good history folder accompanies F356 JNX detailing the last cambelt change. We are advised the car has in recent years benefitted from a new radiator, clutch and a rebuild of the gearbox. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with an MoT test certificate valid until 3rd August 2018. A Porsche 944 turbo S is regarded as the ultimate 944, the comfort and performance on offer is synonymous with the marque.
