The 997 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured between 2004 and 2012. The 997 was an evolution of the preceding 996, with the most significant changes being interior and exterior styling. Larger 18 inch wheels and other engineering changes include slightly increased power; however, the car is technically similar to its predecessor. A new S version was offered, with additional power from a slightly larger engine, sports suspension, and sports exhaust. The 997 is the most commercially successful 911 of all time, having sold 100,000 units of the first phase alone between its introduction in 2005 and July 2007. It has also received mostly positive reviews from the worldwide motoring press.

Originally registered on 5th July 2008, this Porsche Carrera 2S is in unmarked condition and ready to be enjoyed immediately. Having been maintained for the last four years by Porsche Centre Colchester, she is in great order mechanically with no known faults and bodywork wise she is unmarked. The Basalt Black paintwork has a deep rich finish to it and the black interior shows no sign of any wear and tear. Benefitting from rear parking aids and a Bose surround system, this Porsche is described as being a delight to drive. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full year’s MoT test certificate together with a substantial history folder, this 911/997 is a splendid example.
