The Bentley Arnage T laid claim to the title of the world's fastest Saloon car in 2002, needing to use all but the last two spots on its 170mph speedometer. Powered by the 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce, V8 engine but treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life', the Arnage produced a whopping 450 bhp and mind bending 645 lbf ft of torque, in no small part accredited to the twin-turbochargers. The other changes included a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-glove with a new electronic stability program and a revised suspension. It featured a roll stiffness 57% greater than the Red Label, this gave the nearly three ton car immense poise. All of this, coupled with a structure that was 10% stiffer than the Red Label, transformed this luxury cruiser into a mile crunching supercar rival, with no creaks or squeaks as you're propelled to 60 miles per hour in just 5.5 seconds.
Originally registered on 14th March 2003, this Bentley has had just two former keepers. The car was originally supplied by JCT 600 Leeds, where it was serviced regularly by its first owner. The Storm Silver paintwork presents in lovely condition and the black leather trim is in good order throughout. The diamond pattern seat stitching and polished dashboard, together with the walnut veneers make the passenger area extremely aesthetically pleasing. The second owner last serviced this example at Bentley Norwich at 92,000 miles. This Arnage was recently fitted with new tyres, brakes and batteries by the current and third owner however, having only used the car sparingly the decision has been made to pass the car on. This car is supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until May 2018, accompanying this is a comprehensive service history. The Arnage T is a superb vehicle to drive with seemingly endless power and oozing opulent luxury. In its present condition this Bentley offers exceptional value for money.
