Riley produced a number of fine small saloons and sporting cars as well as carving out an enviable competition record for itself during the early 1930s. Most popular of the road cars was the 1½ litre RMA and RME sports saloon. Further up the range there was the 2½ litre RMB which used the pre-war Big Four's 90bhp engine in a lengthened RMA chassis. The RMC and drophead coupé RMD versions were manufactured between 1948 and 1951 and were distinctive, elegant and, very much, limited edition roadsters.
Recently restored in Poland by an experienced firm of classic car specialist, this gorgeous Riley, in this extremely rare configuration, has been taken apart to include a full body sandblast and renovation, now re-painted in the original colour. The braking system is new and the engine has been checked with new seals incorporated where required. The interior upholstery has also been replaced with tan leather and some of the brightwork has been renovated. Paperwork includes certificate of title, full duty documentation and previous MoT test certificates. Described by the vendor as eight out of ten in all respects, this original factory-bodied Riley RMC is well presented, fully running and represents a rare opportunity to acquire a very handsome sporting tourer.
