Lot 110 - 1972 Gilera Arcore 150
|Odometer reading||35,469 km|
|Result||Sold - £1,120|
Introduced in 1972, the new overhead valve Arcore models were offered in both 125 and 150cc forms. Although derived from the earlier four-stroke singles that had sustained the company through the sixties, the new machines benefited from improvements to both the mechanics and styling.
This bike was part of a private collection in Italy for a number of years. These are handsome and interesting machines with an engine that revs to 8,300 and produces 14bhp; this is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Appearing to be in good clean original condition, we are advised he has not run the motorcycle although the engine appears to turn freely, a little re-commissioning is required. Supplied with an official dating certificate from The Old Italian Bike Register, the vendor has applied for a Nova certificate to enable registration in the UK if required. Offered for sale without reserve.
