The Chevrolet Corvette is instantly recognisable by the marque aficionado and non-aficionado alike. The first model, a convertible, was designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept show car. Originally built in Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri, the Corvette, today, is manufactured in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The third generation Corvette, the C3, was designed along the lines of the Mako Shark II concept car and was introduced for the 1968 model year continuing in production until 1982. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the C2 but the body and interior were all new.
Imported into the UK in 2003 on behalf of John Quigley (MD of Sytner Group Nottingham), this handsome Corvette has been enjoyed by the current vendor for trips to France, London and Goodwood from his Devon location, such is the quality and reliability of this splendid example. Finished in Mille Miglia red with matching interior and a white soft top, there is also a hardtop for CTV 470K which is finished in red. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate this eye-catching 'chrome bumper' Corvette is an excellent way to enjoy the warm summer months ahead.
