Lot 211 - 1994 Maserati Ghibli
|Odometer reading||98,786 miles|
|Estimate||£8,000 - £12,000|
The second generation Ghibli, a V6 twin-turbo coupé was produced from 1992 through to 1997 and, in a still-standing Maserati tradition, is named after a wind, the Libyan name for the hot and dry, south-western blowing desert Sirocco. It was a two-door, four-seater coupé with twin-turbo V6 engines and, like the V8 Maserati Shamal, it was an evolution of the previous Bi-turbo coupés. It was launched at the 62nd Turin Motor Show in April 1992 and was built for luxury as well as performance complemented well by its interior featured Connolly leather upholstery and burl elm trim.
Presented in the best colour scheme for these cars, black with a contrasting tan interior, the overall condition is good throughout. Powered by Maserati's classic V6 motor, this fine example has undergone an MoT test recently and passed with no advisories. The condition of the leather and the paintwork is excellent and the underside is reported to be just as good. These later Ghiblis benefit from wider wheel arches which gives the car a far more purposeful look and the larger 2.8 litre engine. Competitively priced, this Maserati is very definitely a highly collectable modern classic.
