You cannot not love the Fiat 500. It was produced between 1957 and 1975 with limited production of the Fiat 500K estate continuing until 1977 and was designed by Dante Giacosa. Despite its diminutive size, the 500 proved to be an enormously practical and popular vehicle throughout Europe, capturing the hearts and minds of the public. Launched as the Nuova (new) 500, it was marketed as a cheap and practical town car.  Measuring only three metres long and originally powered by a 479cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term 'small car' and is considered one of the first city cars. With numerous variations available since its inception, the shape and appeal has remained roughly the same and its desirability and 'smiles-per-mile' easily parallels the British Mini.

Acquired through a classic car dealer who, in turn, bought it as a set of three from P.D.H. Fiat, (Hassocks) a franchised Fiat dealership, it was on display there since 2003 and has since been thoroughly enjoyed. Obviously, a certain amount of re-commissioning had to take place but it now benefits from a full service, fresh tyres and a full one year MoT test certificate. The overall condition is sound, with good paint and brand new headlight rims. The interior is all in good order with the additional bonus of the desirable circular dash-mounted speedometer. Offered without reserve, this 500F can be driven home immediately.
