Lot 222 - 2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed
|Odometer reading||115 miles|
|Estimate||£120,000 - £140,000|
The Bentley Mulsanne is named after the Mulsanne straight of the Le Mans racing circuit, Bentley cars having won six victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past. Bentley has brought back the Mulsanne nameplate that was last used in 1992; this model replaces the hugely successful Arnage and was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August 2009. In keeping with the Arnage, the Mulsanne retains the 6750cc, V8 power unit, the engine is lighter and features cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing to improve fuel efficiency. It is the first flagship car to be independently designed by Bentley Motors in nearly 80 years; the last being W.O. Bentley's 8 litre model in 1930.
Originally registered on 31st December 2015, this Bentley is still in the 'as new' condition having covered only 115 miles. Finished in Sunset with linen interior and dark fireglow carpets, it is fitted with the following optional extras; bottle cooler with champagne flutes, GPS tracking system and entertainment system including TV screens to the rear headrests with the overall cost of this outstanding example at over £300,000. The driving experience of such a luxury car is like no other, the sumptuous interior is supremely comfortable and, with a top speed of 190mph, (where permitted) and a 0-62mph time of 4.9 seconds, for such a large car the performance is outstanding. Supplied originally by Jack Barclay in London, this Mulsanne Speed is supplied with a V5C registration document and the original handbooks.
Interested parties should note this is a VAT qualifying car and this will be charged at 20% upon the final hammer price, however overseas buyers may be able to reclaim any duties paid.
