Lot 193 - 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish (V12)
|Odometer reading||13,000 miles|
|Result||Sold - £77,280|
Unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, the Ian Callum designed Vanquish was an instant sales success and its choice of transport for James Bond only added to the appeal. Every car enthusiast throughout the world wanted the successor to the Virage. The 6.0 litre, V12 produced engine pushed out 450bhp, mated to a 'flappy paddle' electro-hydraulic manual gearbox, fly by wire throttle and, of course, looks to die for! It was no surprise that the car was the top of the Aston Martin range throughout its seven years of production. The Aston Martin legend as the ultimate British sports car was set to continue.
Presented in near perfect Skye Silver with charcoal leather interior, this three-owner from new example has a remarkably low mileage. Purchased in February 2002, LF02JXG has a comprehensive Aston Martin main dealer service history from delivery. It has been maintained to the highest standard and was recently part of a private collection; it remains in superb condition due to being stored for a number of years and used sparingly. Supplied with its original aluminium-bound owners-pack, service books and current MoT test certificate, the car is reported to drive beautifully and we welcome any inspection. Appreciating well, the Vanquish is tipped as a long term investment by all knowledgeable professionals.
