The W210 is an executive car produced from 1995 through to 2002 and sold under the E-Class model name in both saloon and estate body types. AMG installed four engines in the W210; the body styling on all of the W210 AMG models was the same until 2000 when a facelift was implemented. The W210 E55 was the last vehicle for which a major portion of production took place at AMG in Affalterbach. Production was actually split between Affalterbach and the Bremen Mercedes-Benz facility until the end of 2001. Output of the E55 AMG was some 354bhp with a torque figure of 391ft/lb which propelled it from 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds with a limited top speed of 155mph.
This well-maintained and personalised example benefits from a recent general and gearbox service. The last owner acquired the car in 2006 and has enjoyed it immensely. It has nine Mercedes-Benz service stamps up to 137,677 and benefits from hot and cold seating for both front and rear. Other extras include telephone and factory satellite navigation as well as climate control, cruise control, alarm and 18" AMG alloy wheels. The AMG moniker is one that collectors enjoy and this example is offered at no reserve.
