Lot 244 - 1974 Alfa Romeo GTA Evocazione
|Odometer reading||142,829 miles|
|Estimate||£28,000 - £32,000|
Recently imported from Sweden, this GTA Evocazione was originally manufactured as a 1600 GT Junior in 1974. Since then, this 105 Series Bertone coupé has undergone extensive works that has transformed it into the step fronted GTA you see presented today. The step front conversion included an aluminium front panel and aluminium front wings, GTA rear wheel arches, and a riveted aluminium spare wheel well, as per the original cars. The engine is a 2.0 litre unit, fuelled by twin Weber carburetors mated to a five speed gearbox with a limited slip differential final drive. The suspension includes Red Koni shock absorbers at the front with Extron springs. The striking coachwork is complimented by the Technomagnesio wheels, these magnesium wheels having cost the equivalent of £3,500 in 1997. The interior presents very well and includes a set of period style bucket seats. The large history file includes a photographic record of the works, Swedish MoT test certificates, the original sales invoice from 1974, many invoices and a picture of the car on the front cover of a Swedish Alfa Romeo Owner's Club magazine. The odometer records a total of 142,829km that is equivalent to approximately 88,750 miles. A NOVA certificate also accompanies the car and UK import duties have been paid. The vendor will ensure that the car arrives at the sale with an MoT test certificate and is willing to UK register the car on behalf of a new owner if they so wish. This Alfa Romeo GTA Evocazione is certainly, not only attractive, but also a competent performer.
