Lot 213 - 1960 Fiat 600 D
|Odometer reading||11,206 km|
|Estimate||£6,000 - £9,000|
The Fiat 600 was a city car produced in Italy between 1955 & 1969. Measuring 10ft 7" long, it was the first rear engined Fiat produced.
The Fiat 600 D on offer today was manufactured in 1960 and presents in pistachio green with an immaculate interior trim. It is a wonderful, rare, suicide-door example which was fitted with a full length fabric roof and a sprightly 633cc engine. Having been subject to a very good restoration, which included a new driver's side floor pan, this 600 still boasts delightful period detail. Some of these include aluminium wing mounted indicators, stainless switchgear, lovely grab handles, fold down rear seats for storage and shopping, a leather strap to secure the full length folding roof, a chrome distributor cap and window wind deflectors. We are informed this is a two owner example; the car having been purchased by the last owner in October 1965 and kept for 50 years . Imported into the UK late last year, this Fiat is offered with a valid UK V5 registration document and MoT test certificate until November 2016, the original log book issued by the 'Ministero Dei Transport' in Italy and the original engine with the odometer reading of 11,206 km is believed to be correct.
