Lot 160 - 2000 Ferrari 360 Coupé
|Odometer reading||28,000 miles|
|Estimate||£56,000 - £64,000|
The Ferrari 360 is a two-seater sports car manufactured from 1999 to 2005. It succeeded the Ferrari F355 and is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive V8-powered coupé. Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355. Along with a lightweight frame, the new Pininfarina body styling deviated from traditions of the previous decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights. The new V8 engine utilises a 3.6 litre capacity and, despite what looks like on paper modest gains, in reality the power to weight ratio was significantly improved over the F355. The first model to be rolled out was the 360 Modena followed later by the 360 Spider and finally as a special edition, the Challenge Stradale; there were 8,800 Modena's and 7,565 Spiders produced.
This manual transmission Ferrari is a righthand drive example and has covered 28,000 miles from new and has just had a service and cambelt change at Graypaul. Finished in the striking colour combination of silver with black leather interior Ferrari 360's are regarded as being a delight to drive. The 3586cc engine started immediately when requested and sounded beautiful, we are advised she drives exceedingly well with no known faults. Supplied with a V5 registration document, a current MoT test certificate and Ferrari leather bound toolkit. Ferrari 360 Modena's are superb to look at and are even better to drive.
