Mercedes-Benz spent over half a billion pounds researching and developing the 190 E model (W201) and subsequently reported it to be 'massively over-engineered'. Features included patented rear five-link suspension subsequently used in the C and E Class ranges, front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-dive and anti-squat geometry, ABS Brakes and seatbelt pre-tensioners, plus the 190 E had a turning circle virtually unbeatable within its class. Introduced in 1982, the last cars were produced in 1993. Today this model is frequently hallowed as being the last of the bullet proof build Mercedes-Benz.
This 2.6 litre example dates from 1990 and benefits from an array of luxury appointments, including metallic paintwork, beige leather/M-Tex upholstery, four headrests, centre armrest, electronic sunroof/windows /passenger wing mirror, air conditioning, ABS brakes, 15" alloy wheels, tinted windows and automatic four speed gearbox with sports mode. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate, offered at no reserve.
