Lot 274 - 1999 Bentley Arnage Green Label
|Sold - £25,200
The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, a large luxury saloon car that replaced the previous Bentley Turbo saloon. Built by Bentley Motors in Crewe from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998 and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The Arnage Green Label was to be powered by a powerful BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo chargers.
With a mere 35,000 miles on the odometer, this Arnage started life as a demonstrator for JCT600 in Leeds. Its first private keeper kept the Bentley in a heated garage and used the car sparingly. The car was then sold to its second private keeper who afforded this delightful car the same treatment; hence the reason why she presents in such superb condition today. This Bentley is finished in dark blue with beige leather trim which is complemented by special-order light grain wood for the facia, door cappings and centre console. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a full year's MoT test certificate, this Bentley Arnage Green Label is available at a fraction of the cost when new and examples such as this are generally regarded as 'offering exceptional value' given the level of comfort and luxury the car has to offer.
