The BMW E36 M3 debuted in February 1992 and was the first M3 powered by a straight six engine, originally a 3.0 litre producing 282bhp. Initially available as a coupé only, BMW introduced the M3 convertible and saloon versions in 1994. In 1995, the M3 coupé and saloon were upgraded to the 316bhp, 3.2 litre engines and known as Evolution versions. At the same time, the cars received clear indicator lenses, new wheels and a six-speed gearbox. The E36 M3 chassis was touted as one of the best handling cars of the 90's in independent tests and known for its well balanced handling.
This BMW Evolution Coupė, presented in Techno Violet metallic with M-Cross cloth Amaretta interior, was first registered in August 1996 and has had just one former keeper, a doctor, who used the car for his daily commute and rounds. The car is offered in truly spectacular order and comes with a fully documented BMW service history. No expense has been spared in the upkeep of this iconic coupé with every button working as it should and, we are informed, never skipping a beat. Having been serviced ten times and MoT tested by BMW North Oxford, the history file inspires the utmost confidence and contains a current MoT until 23rd July 2016, V5 registration document and all service receipts and books. These E36 M3's are a fast appreciating modern classic and finding one in such an un-molested condition is, quite frankly, a treat.
