Lot 384 - 1959 Laverda 100cc
|Estimate||£7,000 - £9,000|
This Laverda is incredibly rare and even people with decades of experience in the bike fraternity did not know Laverda made this model. The engine is a single cylinder overhead valve unit and ignition is via a Marelli Magneto. The gearbox is a three speed unit and braking via drums front and rear. Thought to have been last used in the 1950s' in the famous Moto giro d'Italia, this Laverda has been restored to a high standard. Until recently this motorcycle was part of a private collection in Italy. It is sure to attract attention of serious collectors and it would be a most welcome entry in this year's Moto giro d'Italia..
