Lot 371 - 1952 FB Mondial 200cc Sport
|Estimate||£9,000 - £11,000|
This FB Mondial has formed part of a private collection in Italy for a number of years. Similar in looks to the 200cc GP OHC model, the 200cc sport was the pushrod version, primarily designed for more endurance racing and used in the more local events such as the famous Moto d' Italia. The single cylinder engine is an overhead valve model and is fitted with a Marelli magneto. All this is mated to a four-speed gearbox and braking is via front and rear drums.
This motorcycle is also fitted with a rev counter. A very rare motorcycle that is sure to appeal to the serious collector, having been fully restored and in excellent condition. Very competitive in historic racing and hill climb events and would be a welcome entry in this years' Motogiro d'Italia 2015. This handsome machine would make a splendid showpiece in any office or reception area.
