Lot 227 - 1971 Dodge Charger
|Estimate||£19,000 - £24,000|
The Dodge Charger was marketed by the Dodge division of Chrysler and manufactured in Canada by American manufacturer, Chrysler Group LLC. First used as a show car in 1964, there have been several different production vehicles, built on three different platforms and sizes, but all bearing the Charger nameplate: the nameplate that has been used with subcompact hatchbacks, full-sized sedans, and personal luxury coupés. The third generation Charger was introduced for the 1971 model year, and Chrysler's B platform, was modified to meet new emission and safety regulations. The Charger was now available in six different packages with cosmetic changes that included: a split grill, semi fastback rear window and a ducktail spoiler.
This recently imported example is offered in green with black interior and a US title. Having had all taxes paid, this is ready for the new owner to obtain an MoT test certificate and register the car, if necessary, for UK road use. Having been fully restored including a re-spray and also having been under-sealed for the UK market, this car has been subject to ownership previously by a meticulous owner, to the extent where, included within its history file, an owner's diary has been kept which includes entries from maintenance to fuel filling, along with the mileage. A great example of an iconic muscle car, which the owner describes as ten out of ten, at a very attractive estimate.
