Lot 329 - 2013 Fiat Dethleffs Globebus T8
|Odometer reading||2,100 miles|
|Estimate||£32,000 - £38,000|
|Result||Sold - £41,000|
The Globebus produced by Dethleffs combines the compact dimensions of a van with the comfort of a multifunctional motor home. Beds, insulation, kitchen and bathroom are all derived from the modules of large Dethleffs motorhomes but combine compact vehicle dimensions with an approximate width of 215cm and height of 262cm resulting in it being awarded the Caravanning Design Award for 2012/2013.
This four berth Globebus has covered a mere 2,100 miles since new and still feels new to drive as well as the accommodation afforded inside the comfortable cabin. The current owner purchased the motor home recently with the intention to tour the European race and Grand Prix circuits however, due to his expanding family, believes he requires something larger leading him to offer this example for sale. The cabin of the i8 has all the necessary amenities including a sleeping area above the well appointed drivers cabin which pulls down to create a remarkably spacious double bed and transforming the motor home to a versatile, spacious four-birth sleeper. A cooker, fridge freezer, shower and toilet are all present and ready for a weekend away and the trim is unmarked as you would expect. To the rear is a spacious storage area as well as areas appointed for LPG Gas rendering this a fabulously versatile machine. The engine for this Dethleffs is a 2.3 litre 2013 Fiat Ducato diesel unit offering a pleasant reliable and relatively frugal drive; it is also remarkably easy to handle even within small streets and villages.
We must inform all potential interested parties that this Motorhome is the subject of a category d insurance loss, the motorhome suffered minor damage which is documented and photographed within the history. The damage took place to the rear storage section of the body upon parking with, importantly, no damage to the chassis or drive train of the Fiat Ducato itself. The repairs have been completed in full to a very high standard and render this example very good value for money, an estimated 40% reduction on the current retail value.
