The XJ6 saloon was a lifesaving model for Jaguar Cars Ltd. Since it was first unveiled in 1968, the design has evolved through five generations to the present day. The XJ6 Series II was only cosmetically different from the XJ6 Series I; the front bumpers were raised to a standard height and the radiator grill was much smaller, with horizontal bars. Early Series II's shared the same short 108.9 inch wheel base but in 1972 the wheelbase was extended by four inches to 112.8 inches to create the long wheel base model known as the XJ6L. Both 6 and 12 cylinder engine models were available.
This XJ6 4.2 is fitted with manual transmission and is equipped with a full length Webasto sunroof.
The specification of these Jaguars includes power steering, electric windows and leather trim. The vendor has been using ERL 235K on a daily basis and describes her as being smooth, quiet and effortless to drive on the open road. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate, this Jaguar is finished in blue with blue trim; the sumptuous seats and wooden dashboard are synonymous with such a luxury car maker.
