The Corniche was Rolls-Royce's coupé and convertible version of the Silver Shadow produced between 1971 and 1996. It was named 'Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Two-Door Fixedhead Coupé, before 1971 after which the more elegant name of 'Corniche' was applied. The model was assembled and finished in London at Mulliner Park Ward as a continuation of the 1965 Silver Shadow coupé and was also sold as a Bentley although that model became known as the Continental in 1984. The first car to wear the Corniche name was a 1939 prototype based on the Bentley Mk. V which was never produced due to the onset of World War II.
This delightful Rolls-Royce has only had two former keepers and the current vendor has lovingly owned her for the last 21 years. The condition of this award-winning Corniche has to be seen to be appreciated and is a credit to its former keepers. The Athenian Blue coachwork is in splendid order as is the sumptuous unmarked interior. To be expected from such an outstanding, low mileage example, mechanically CCA 27W is in excellent condition with no known faults. The fastidious owner has expert knowledge of Rolls-Royce and has treated this Corniche with the upmost respect, resulting in a beautiful example.
