Lot 358 - 1998 Mazda MX-5
|Odometer reading||59,038 miles|
|Result||Sold - £2,800|
The MX-5 was introduced in 1989 at the Chicago Motor Show. It was conceived as a small roadster with lightweight and minimal mechanical complexity, limited only by legal and safety requirements; technologically modern, but a philosophically direct descendant of small British and Italian roadsters of the 1960's such as the Triumph Spitfire, MGB and Alfa Romeo Spider. The second generation MX-5 was launched in 1998 and continues to be the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car in history.
With only two former keepers, this delightful MX-5 presents in excellent condition. The gold paintwork is virtually unmarked as is the interior. With a reputation of being a reliable fun sportscar, we are advised by the vendor she drives with no known faults. The mileage of 59,038 appears to be genuine, however not warranted. Supplied with the original handbooks, a V5 registration document and a full years MoT test certificate, together with road fund licence until the end of November. Offered at no reserve, be prepared to enjoy those late summer evenings.
