Lot 203 - 1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E
|Odometer reading||59,887 miles|
|Result||Sold - £2,240|
The Mercedes-Benz W201 is a compact executive car manufactured from 1982 to 1993 and marketed under variants of the Mercedes 190 nameplate. The W201 featured a patented rear five-link suspension subsequently used in E and C-Class models, front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-dive and anti-squat geometry, ABS brakes and seatbelt pre-tensioners. The 190 and its variants were succeeded in the compact executive car range by the C-Class; a newly created nameplate. Mercedes-Benz spent over £600 million researching and developing the 190 and subsequently reported it to be 'massively over-engineered'.
Supplied originally by Bargate Motors in Lincolnshire, this Silver with black cloth trim 190E is a one owner vehicle and as such, the mileage of 59,887 is correct. Fitted with the 1797cc engine, this is the LE specification and is in condition commensurate with its age, low ownership and mileage. The invoice from Bargate Motors shows a purchase price of £20,230 with the only additional extras as the boot spoiler and SEC badge in the front grill. Presented in excellent condition, this example is supplied with a V5 registration document, a full years MoT test certificate and the original handbooks. This is one of the last 190E's produced and is being offered at no reserve, why not grab a bargain.
