2013 Forward FTR Machine ridden by Claudio Corti - Italy
The NGM Forward Racing Team 2013 FTR MotoGP machines
As used by Colin Edwards and Claudio Corti throughout the 2013 season
This is a rare opportunity to acquire one or both of the Forward FTR MotoGP machines with one having been ridden by two times World Superbike Champion, Colin Edwards and the other ridden by the 2008 Superbike runner up, Claudio Corti.
Both machines are offered with their Kawasaki ZX-10R engines tuned by Kawasaki's French based tuning company partner, Akira. With the power output and dry weight of only 157kg and 245+ bhp of available power, these machines are capable of speeds in excess of 325 kph. An FTR MGP13 aluminium tri-spar chassis provides the framework with Öhlines suspension, Brembo brakes and an Akrapovic exhaust system mated to the Kawasaki power plants.
"FTR technical support post sale will include a test
run of the machine with a grand prix technician to ensure the
customer is fully briefed with the workings of the machinery and
also two VIP paddock passes for the British round of the 2014
MotoGP World Championship at Silverstone on August 29-31 and
hospitality with the NGM Forward Racing Team."
In today's market, it is extremely rare to find a genuine MotoGP machine for sale, it is even rarer to find two fully working with their fully tuned and ready Akira Kawasaki engines. In addition; not only does this represent an opportunity to acquire these rare machines at a fraction of the build costs but there is also a promise of support post sale from the Forward FTR MotoGP team who will supply the services of one of their technicians, anywhere within the UK mainland, to demonstrate the machines technicalities and procedures to any new owner/s.
Born in Como on the 25th June 1987, Claudio Corti progressed up
the motorcycling ladder through the Italian 125GP Championship and
by 2004; he had finished as runner-up in the Italian Supersport
Championship. In 2005, Corti moved into the European Superstock
600cc Cup, run on the Superbike World Championship support package.
Riding for the Trasimeno team, Corti and France's Yoann Tiberio
battled for the championship title, with Corti claiming the honours
by eight points. He finished his first seven races on the podium,
including five victories. He also competed in the Italian
Supersport, Superstock and Superbike series; he twice finished as
runner-up in the championship in Superstock in 2006 and 2007, and
was runner-up in Superbikes in 2008.
In the 2013 MotoGP World Championship, Claudio finished 14 times in the 18 races held with the best result being 12th at the Catalunya MotoGP and accruing a total of 14 points for the season.
