Lot 175 - 1960 13093 Tiger 110
|Odometer reading||495 miles|
|Estimate||£5,000 - £7,000|
The Triumph Tiger 110 was manufactured at the Coventry factory
between 1953 and 1961, developed from the Triumph Thunderbird and
first appearing in 1954. Although it was supposed to be the sports
model of the Triumph range, the Tiger 110 was later fitted with the
rear paneling that was introduced with Triumph's 350cc 3TA twin in
1959. This rear cowling earned it the nickname 'bathtub' from its
shape. In any event, from 1959, the T120 Bonneville was now
Triumph's leading sports model and the T110 was eventually dropped
from Triumph's range.
This 650cc 1960 Triumph 110 is offered in good condition and presented in a blue and silver combination, documentation accompanying this wonderful Tiger includes numerous Mot Test certificates a V5 Registration certificate and tax discs, and despite being registered as a 1962 motorcycle a covering letter from the Motorcycle Dating Service confirms that this was indeed a 1960 built Triumph.
