Lot 203 - 1995 12987 SL280 *Reserve lowered*
|Odometer reading||68,500 miles|
|Estimate||£11,000 - £14,000|
The Mercedes-Benz R129 models were sold under the SL-Class model
name and were available from 1989 to 2001. Based upon a shortened
W124 saloon floorpan, the R129 incorporated innovative engineering
features such as electronically controlled shock absorbers
(optional) and an automatically extending roll over bar. The level
of standard equipment was high and included electrically operated
windows, mirrors, seats and convertible hood.
We are pleased to present this low mileage SL280 in very smart condition. The desirable Mercedes-Benz finish to the coachwork of blue/black is complemented by the light cream leather interior. The 'Eco' automatic gearbox offers sport or economy settings allowing for a sporty drive if desired or a more frugal fuel consumption if economy is selected; an advantage especially in these times of high fuel prices. In fact, our vendor, the third recorded owner, has stated that over 30mpg is easily achievable. Furthermore, an aftermarket AMG body kit and wheels enhance the appearance of this attractive motor car. The 68,500 recorded miles (at time of writing) are believed genuine; supported by all the old MoT test certificates and service history. In addition to the standard equipment such as air conditioning, electric windows and electric seats, further features include a Kenwood multi CD player (mounted within the boot area), a wind deflector, private registration plate and the desirable optional hardtop. We are also advised that this Mercedes-Benz will arrive at the sale with a fresh MoT test certificate and road tax.
With the spring and summer to look forward to, a lucky new owner awaits this eye-catching and well cared for Mercedes-Benz SL280 with all the benefits of open top motoring as well as hard top comfort when required.
