Lot 269 - 1979 Harley-Davidson SS-175
|Result||Sold - £448|
Harley-Davidson, the American motorcycle manufacturer founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, during the first decade of the 20th century, was one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression. Harley-Davidson also survived a period of poor quality control and competition from Japanese manufacturers making it the king of Cool in motorcycle circles.
This period 175cc Harley has been in storage for the past five years and very little is known about its history or its four previous keepers, there is no V5 however the vendor is trying to attain a new one prior to the sale. We are informed that it did run the last time it was used prior to storage although it is recommended that interested parties attend the viewing day to see this example as an opportunity for inexpensive Harley-Davidson ownership, offered at no reserve, is rare occurence.
Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Buyers are advised to inspect the car in person or use a professional to carry out this service.
