The last model of Kawasaki's seminal 900cc Z range this 1976 A4 model saw numerous changes from the preceding Z1-B. While the smaller 26mm carburettors saw the claimed power output reduced from 82 to 81bhp, the changes made the A4 a much better bike to ride. The popularity of these beautiful machines among collectors and riders alike ensures that Kawasaki's big Z's are very practical classics with excellent parts availability.

This Z900-A4 has recently been imported from the US where it has spent much of its life in storage, all duties have been paid and supporting documents are present including the American title. Covering just 1,258 miles in past 37 years, this motocycle is a matching numbers example being just over 1,000 into the production run for the 1976 model year, it was built in June 1975. In exceptionally original; the factory Diamond Dark Green paint work is in lovely condition, the Takasago rims are both stamped with May 1975 date code and still hold what appear to be the original Dunlop gold seal tyres. The tool kit and handbook remain in place under the seat. Having been well stored but, inevitably, there are some signs of age, the chrome has suffered a little on the mudguards and wheel rims with some light pitting. The four into four exhaust system, such a definitive feature of these bikes is in outstanding condition.
We are advised by the vendor that the Z900 runs and has recently been ridden, although it will require some re-commissioning work. Currently un-registered in the UK, the necessary paperwork will be supplied in order to do so; there are many beautifully restored Zs, there are, however, very few original examples left in this superb condition, this is a motorcycle that would grace any collection.

Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Buyers are advised to inspect the car in person or use a professional to carry out this service.
