The Mercedes-Benz W201 is a compact executive car manufactured from 1982 to 1993 and marketed under variants of the Mercedes 190 nameplate. The W201 featured a patented rear five-link suspension subsequently used in E and C-Class models, front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-dive and anti-squat geometry, ABS brakes and seatbelt pre-tensioners. The W201 enjoyed strong sales in Europe but faired poorly in the United States and production ended on 13th April 1993 after the manufacture of approximately 1.8 million examples. The 190 and its variants were succeeded in the compact executive car range by the C-Class; a newly created nameplate. Mercedes-Benz spent over £600 million researching and developing the 190 and subsequently reported it to be 'massively over-engineered'.

This Mercedes-Benz was first registered on 19th April 1993 and is in outstanding, completely original condition, taking into account the fact that it is 20 years old. A superb service history accompanies this 190E with no fewer than 23 stamps in the service book, all main dealer or a marque specialist; the last service carried out was at 134,781 miles in December 2012.  The car comes supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until 6th May, 2014 and a collection of invoices together with previous MoTs. Finished in white with blue trim, this 1797cc, manual transmission 190E is offered at no reserve.
