Big Block Mopar Muscle in a sedan! The Plymouth Fury was produced in various forms by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation from 1956 through to 1978 as a premium-priced (luxury) model.  Fury I was for large fleets and private customers wanting a basic, no-frills, full-sized car, while the Fury II and Fury III were progressive upgrades in trim, specifications, and equipment. The overall design changed for '68, with the grille losing chrome but gaining the classic two vertical stacked headlights on each side. This 1968 Plymouth Fury III 383 Police car recreation was originally registered in California (a copy of the Californian title certificate is available) and imported to the UK during 2011. Restored by a previous owner as a Police car, this Plymouth presents in excellent condition. Restoration work included a respray in Police-standard 'Spinnaker White', re-trimming of seats, floor covering, headlining and dash pad. The Fury II badges and omission of side moldings add to the Police effect.

From new (Fender tag in place), it has most popular Mopar Big Block engine, a 2BBL-equipped 383cu.in. V8, mated to a Chrysler-Torqueflite 727 heavy duty automatic transmission and 2.76 open diff. This combination favoured as the best mix of economy, performance and relaxed cruising you could get in the 'Muscle-Car' era. Power steering and power brakes are fitted, again per the Fender Tag, as is air conditioning (currently disconnected). The recently fitted dual exhaust gives out a lovely deep V8 burble too! Vintage Police equipment including lights, spotlight, Motorola radio head and microphone, together with a vintage radar unit are also fitted. The result of this substantial time and financial investment is a vehicle that is not only a real head turner, but a pleasure to drive. Supplied with owners' manual,  a fender-tag decode, a V5 registration document and a valid MoT test certificate, this car is offered at no reserve and will be driven away by the highest bidder.
