In 1938, Matchless and AJS became part of Associated Motorcycles (AMC), with both companies producing models under their own brands. During the amalgamations that occurred in the British motorcycle industry in the 1960's, the Matchless four-stroke twin was replaced with the Norton twin, ending a long history of independent production. By 1967, the Matchless single cylinders had ceased production.

First registered on 28th July 1956, this 349cc Matchless has been dry stored for a number of years and requires some restoration work prior to re-commissioning. Appearing to be complete, this 349cc Matchless represents good value for money and is supplied with a V5 registration document.
