The Jensen S-V8 was the last of the Jensen cars and after a £10 million investment, including Liverpool City Council and the Department of Trade and Industry, the car was launched at the 1998 British International Motor Show with an initial production run of 300 units planned at a selling price of £40,000 each. The Merseyside factory in Speke commenced production in August 2001 but troubles with the manufacturer meant production ceased with only 20 ever leaving the factory and another 18 cars left partially completed. The company went into administration in July 2002. Referred to as the 'million pound Jensen', the S-V8 is powered by a Ford Mustang 4.6-litre, 32-valve, four-cam, V8 engine producing 325bhp and with a top speed of 160mph and 0-60mph in less than five seconds. The Jensen name together with partially completed cars were later sold to SV Automotive of Carterton in Oxfordshire in 2003 who decided to complete the build of 11 of the cars under the supervision of Graham Henley as managing director.
 
This unique Jensen S-V8 has only covered 2,600 miles from new and has had just two owners. Known as the Gold Jensen, this 'one off' was built in 2004 for Graham Henley and was the last S-V8 to be registered eventually in April 2007. The vendor acquired this car in 2009 since which time it has remained in storage.  Finished in gold pearl metallic with a combination of black and tan leather interior, the car is fitted with graphite OZ split rim wheels and comes supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in October 2016, original sales brochures and owner's handbooks. It is well known in the Jensen Owners Club that the best S-V8 cars to buy are the SV Automotive produced models as they have been built to a much higher standard than the original factory cars and this is a prime example.
